The renowned event was organised by the University of Malta on its Valletta campus.<\/p>\n<p>The conference brought together experts from around the world to discuss current developments in product design and engineering education. Three days of specialist presentations, panel discussions and networking took centre stage.<\/p>\n<p>On the second day, Dr Liliane Ngahane Nana and Senem \u00d6zmen from ARTECH Consulting GmbH gave a presentation entitled:<br \/>\n\u201e<strong>E-Learning as an extension of traditional training methods for designers changing CAD\/PLM systems<\/strong>\u201c. The accompanying paper is published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designsociety.org\/publication\/48655\/e-learning_as_an_extension_of_traditional_training_methods_for_designers_changing_cad_plm_systems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Design Society<\/a> website.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation highlighted the challenges associated with the rapid change in modern CAD technologies and their integration into product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. An innovative blended learning approach was presented \u2013 a combination of e-learning and classroom training \u2013 which is specifically tailored to experienced design engineers. The aim is to make the transition to new systems efficient, practical and sustainable.<\/p>\n<p>For ARTECH Consulting GmbH, participating in this international platform \u2013 alongside numerous renowned experts in the field \u2013 was a special honour.
