It forms the foundation for developing, manufacturing, and refining products, and it often contains critical business knowledge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CAD models and design data,<\/li>\n<li>Bills of materials (BOM),<\/li>\n<li>Simulation and test results,<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing information and<\/li>\n<li>Development and change documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This data is crucial not only for product development, but also for gaining a competitive advantage.
